Criminal Justice Act 2003 |
Judge
alone trial: Schedule 7 of the Act (section 43) allows for judge alone trial in a limited number of cases
involving threats and intimidation of juries to ensure no-one is above
the law and can evade justice. This provision has yet to be
implement.

2006/7 proposals |
The
Queen's Speech in November 2006 promised trial by judge alone in some cases,
this has to be approved by Parliament.
